If you are logging in using Azure AD Single Sign On (SSO) button please first double check if you have been assigned the right role by your IT team.
Is it possible to restrict access?
Yes. There are multiple ways and levels to restrict content management.
You may allow managing certain content types only to specific roles.
You may allow certain roles to create and edit content but not publish.
